I fully support and admire our service personnel, indeed I know quite a few of them personally, and I support the ambitions and appreciate the efforts of the fundraisers for the above Charity- their purpose is wonderful and their dedication fabulous.
My one niggle is that the Charity is raising money for facilities which surely should be provided by the Government who put those service men and women at risk - the cutbacks in service hospitals and the specialist care for the needs of persons injured in war scenarios means that many have to be accomodated in NHS hospitals which are already overstretched.

How true. Save money by closing specialist hospitals, then put them into hospitals, where wards have already been closed because they have cut staffing levels to save money. I wonder how many politicians have to wait for treatment on the NHS? |
