I see our friends at Sharks (the new name for Nobs as it sums them up better) are now offering LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP FOR £150

I see the list of benefits you get is vast:

(the space above lists the "member" benefits)

Working on £5 per year, thats 30 years membership. Now call me a cynic, but will Sharks/Nobs be around in 30 days, let alone 30 years??

If you really want to spend £150, at least spend it on something worthwhile - the RNLI for example, not a bunch of wannabe heros with the combined business accumen of a slug.

Most organisations offer life membership on the basis of 15 x annual sub maximum, those with higher rates dont get life members- simple really.

Unknown, as is the number of PAID UP members.
Claimed 9,000 NOBS members, 5023 Forum members.
The income figure from their latest accounts indicates that these are not correct.

I cant believe that anone would be so daft as to use the facilities free of charge just because they are supposedly senior to other members or are mates with anyone in management?
Any person involved operating an organisation which requires people to pay fees must be whiter than white to have any credibility at all - does that mean that anybody who doesnt pay is still counted as a member and gets the same benefits?
Does that explain why some names havent gone cowxxxxoops cowdung colour?
