Following the success of Scurries at Highclere and the Sussex Gamefair

We have been asked to run the Scurries at the Robin Hood Gamefairs in October at Trinity Park Ipswich and the Newark Showground.

NOBs has also been asked to run the Scurry at the Devon Gamefair in 2010 which we have accepted.

Lets hope they have learnt from their mistakes at the ones they have already run!!!
Do NOBS still do their job in putting people on shoots any more, seems they have diversified into other things! Such as Insurance sales!!!
That took 4 years to get sorted.

I'M looking forward to the recipe book! that was in the pipeline.

Yes its been promised so many times now itll be out of date by the time its published.
Apparently the director responsible is no longer listed as a director on the last set of accounts (June 2008) and as NOBS is a private limited company and the people paying membership fees and buying insurance and merchandise are customers and have no say in its administration or who is on the board they will never know if he jumped ship or was pushed.

Strange that a rehashed book on Picking up was suddenly produced and not a recipe book which has been awaited for far longer and which would probably be of more interest to the public as well as members.

As beaters outnumber pickers up by at least 4 to 1 then a book on beating would probably have sold better!

Anyway it can be bought at a third of the price NOBS are selling it for and may well be overpriced at that as apart from some nice pictures, one of which breached copyright apparently, it seems to be a reprint of the 1999 edition and is rather dated.
