NOBS - Re-named (or should be) to National Organisation of Bull Shite.
What is going on there?
Do we care?
Where did the Musto Keepers Jacket, Barbour Jacket, Hunter Boots that were donated for an Aunction go?
Why is Neil Dale such a jumped-up, power-crazed prick?
Why have most of the Reigonal Officers buggered off (or each other)?
What do you get for your money?
How do they charge 75 quid to teach someone to walk through a field with a stick and get away with it?
Why do they get very defensive when questions about the structure of the Limited Company are asked?

They never answer direct questions about the limited company structure, and I was warned to lay off by a RO when I kept asking, and about the number of paid up members- actually around 2000 not 9000 im told.
They claim 4500 members of their forum - how many post regularly say 20 maximum and the moderators, except a few new ones, who soon learn that it is a waste of time and effort.
Do they know the answers? That answer is NO. |

Now they resign - ooops sorry didnt mean to - now Im back still doing the same old titled job - not much to do as I didnt do much before.
If you resign because of certain things then unless those things change how on earth can you withdraw a resignation and feel comfortable? |

Add to that list:
Sealand Beaters full suit
John Chapman Leather game bag
Countrywide stores voucher
TransK9 dog box!!!
Plus loads of other stuff from MGF 2007 and no doubt from MGF 2008 too.
Funnily enough an ex of the new CEO wears some really nice new gear which he apparently got as samples? hmm
As for the ex modic - spinless like the rest of them and I am happy to stand up and say so.
Oh and Nick - great idea for a website!!

Mike
Thanks for the comment.
I got really p----d off when anyone who asked questions got bullied and patronised on NOBS Forum, and lots of "awkward" questions just got pulled and often the poster was suspended- without notification.
On this Forum people can ask those questions make those comments and maybe, when those Glos Old Spots stop going though at 25,000 feet, someone from NOBS will answer them.
On their current show stand thread-
people have asked about display boards- I donated a six board set up at Highclere - where is it?
people mentioned banners- they have several courtesy of Mitsubishi sponsorship- adequate ones cost about £25 I ve bought some for PuBS.
A stand at a show is not a junket for the boys - if done properly- and Ive manned stands other than NOBS at some serious events- you should end up knackered if you have done the job properly.
Mike will remember the first Westcountry, and the Cirencester Park gundog days etc when we both were on the NOBS stand hard work, but we signed up loads of members. If people stop to look then engage them!!
Thinking about those early days, Im out, along with Mike, Alex Thorneycroft Taylor, Jack Russell and quite a few other stalwarts who did a lot of legwork for them in the early days.
I know Mike and Alex travelled miles for them - look what hapened to them. |

Just going through my E-mails (sad I keep them all!)
The CEO was given 12 full 12 month subscriptions to the shooting times last year - who got them? |

Add a 2 year subscription to the Field to the list of donated items that vanished!
With all the reading material that they got, do you think they are short of bog roll or just confused by the funny things that aint pictures and they can't understand? |

Sems to me that the only NOBS to not get FREEBIES are the fee paying members- who , from their comments to me, seem not to get a thing- even beating etc.
