Hi I'm very interested in picking up and beating and registered with nobs a month ago. I visited the royal county game fair at the weekend and spoke to Nick on the PUBs stand at the event, he was extremely helpful and i signed up to the free beaters course. I was over the moon as i feel it will help me find a shoot where i can take my young labrador and enjoy being out in the field.

However i looked on the NOBs forum and saw a post about not being able to see the gundog section. Apparently you have to pay a fiver to view certain forums on the nobs forum. I put my first post up asking what you get for the £5.00 and mentioned i'd signed up for the Pubs beaters course and they have Banned me from the forum.

I am really annoyed about this and i intend writing a letter to every shooting magazine in the uk explaining my experience with Nobs. I feel they are just in it for the money and i find there attitude appauling towards new participants to fieldsports. What do you get for the money is all i asked and they banned me.... That says it all really, have they something to hide?????

I'm also involved with contributing general articles on the countryside to a few magazines and websites throughout the UK and europe and i'll be saying a few words in future articles. I intend to let the whole shooting community know what NOBs is all about and how they conduct themselves. Which in my experience and IMO it's just a money making enterprise they don't give a sh*t about anyone if there not giving them there hard earned cash

I feel that Pubs will go from strength to strength as Nick has the right attitude i'm really looking forward to the beaters course thats being held on a proper shoot and i even get a cooked breakfast and dinner!!!!.

I was concerned when Vixen posted this and emailed him for his phone number and had quite a long chat.
It seems that the people who run NOBS have learnt nothing- their Forum seems to consist mainly of the hieracrchy and very few ordinary members are posting so I am told!!
I wonder if they thought Vien was me using an alias - maybe this explains their banning that id.
I spoke to Stuart Godwin at the Royal County when he stopped by and said Hi it was really nice that a NOBS Regional Officer was interested in how another organisation was getting on at the show and Vixen tells me that Stu wished him the best on the course- well done Stu!!
Also Vixen asked if I had considered Insurance for people on the beaters course and indicated that the NOBS CEO had referred to this in one of his posts on the thread - I confess I hadnt up to now!!!
However I was past Chairman of a society which attended shows and every member has personal accident cover. public liability cover etc under a policy issued to the society and covers every event which the society attended and every member attending an event where the society was represented so a quick phone call to the Treasurer and an email received with the company and broker who arrnged this.

I can confirm that PuBS now has submitted a proposal form and has been advised that similar cover will be issued to PuBS and will cover every member at any event where PuBS has a presence.

Total cost to PuBS members- NOTHING - ITS ALL FREE!!!!!

Ive been told that the thread has been deleted by NOBS Forum admin - mustnt allow anyone to show dissent and deviate from the norm as dictated by their management.
Shame as most of their recent forum registrations are porn, blue pill suppliers or eastern european women looking for a sugar daddy!!
Not surprising a genuine member gets stuffed.!

Now come on Vixen.You cant write things like that about nobs.We all know what a well orginized global company nobs are so some magazines say.

They care for there punters not them selves as we all know.I think Nick is very naughty doing the same thing as nobs are trying to do without charging any money for the service.How can anyone get rich with people like Nick doing it for free

When i think of what I used to spend shooting- bought days of 150 bird+, walk and stand syndicates, flying syndicate etc etc - the money it costs me to run PuBS is nothing.
I now get as much, if not more, pleasure from working my 4 gundogs and have an opportunity to have some fun showing how it is possible to help more people get out in the countryside and without needing a vast, expensive database which needs financing to the tune of thousands of pounds - PuBS does it for FREE and its working beyond my wildest dreams!!
PuBS inaugural beaters course is now filled and the second well on the way - and its ALL FREE..

Just to show that they read getitorfyerchest it appears that someone on NOBS Forum eventually was bothered to delete spurious members flogging viagra, eastern european wives and porn!!!
Very few new members seem to have paid a £5 to join Main NOBS!!!

Now all they have to do is get Main NOBS to delete non paying members so we can see their TRUE membership figures.

Anyway new accounts to 30th June 2009 have to be submitted to Companies House by November 2009 and all will be revealed here!

8 LETTERS WERE POSTED TODAY TO THE SPORTING PRESS AND MAJOR SPONSORS OF NOBS.

I will be nice to see a few of the letters being printed in the letters to the editor pages of the sporting magazines. (i doubt this will ever happen though).

It was really nice to meet you again at the chilterns yesterday Nick. i'm looking forward to catching up with you and towser again on the beaters course.
