After Glenrothes will Gordon and his mate Lord whatever- son be running the country after the next general election?
At least he will have all the current spending fiasco to deal with instead of handing it on to the next government.

No. Because all the sensible people will vote them out. Unless you all want to see London expand to the middle of Devon.

so who will they vote in in their place??
the tories who have no policies or the liberals who are just a joke?
Not that labour are any better than either of the others but why replace rubbish with more rubbish?

Vote for me- Ill be the new dictator - upset me at yer peril.
Politicians need to experience life before they are elected.
So many are students and sctivists, local councillors/barrister etc, then MPs so no experience of life, running a business etc and they then sanctimoniously dictate to us how to live and exist, and issue edicts to that effect.
The whole lot in Parliament are a riht shower - and look at the perks they get, still if you fail in this country you can go to the EU and stuff even more peoples lives up.

Well, I couldn't agree more, Admin!

My problem is that all politicians now seem to fall into the same question of doubt over their true motives .. which I seriously believe are in the main their own self interest.  I can't find it within myself to trust any of them any more .... trust has gone right out of the window.

I don't want to vote any of these people, who seem to think they are superior to the rest of us and have the right to pull the wool over our eyes, into positions of power.

You are right ... most have no experience of the 'real life' ... they can just talk a good story.  Yet they milk the system at the expense of taxpayers.

There was once a 'story/myth' about some computer programmer milking a banking system by coining the excess decimal places in transactions to his own account.  Apparently he made zillions.  I now view politicians in the same light .... take a few extra pence off all of us every year simply to line their own coffers!

If only there was an extra box on a voting slip  to put a cross in  ... "I don't trust any of you b@st@rds and wish to register my vote as such"!

I remember another one where "rounding" on computers benefitted a guy - he was caught but they never got all the money back.
For the benefit of thicko politicians - in early days of financial computers balances of say £1-50 could be stored as £1.505 this guy programmed out the.005 by credit to an account which he hen accessed.
Dont forget when they get booted out when constituents discover that they have elected a tosser they get severance terms to die for and a nice fat pension which wold be untenable in he real world.

I hope I'm not included in that statement!
