why do we let a little bit of snow bring the country to a halt - schools shut etc etc.Panic buying in supermarkets - local one had two deliveries of milk and it all went in minutes!

I know! I for one dont panic buy (even petrol!) so i nipped to mr T's last week for a loaf of bread (cause i actually needed it!  ) and there wasnt any!! Same for milk too! 
My other gripe is that we dont have enough snow for people to be able to a) learn to drive in it and b) realise that it can be quite dangerous driving in it (if the guy who was flying up the m40 the other day like a bat out of hell, lane surfing, is reading this, please take note!) 
Also, what was with the whole with the councils moaning 'i think we're going to run out of grit' palava?
Our paths up our street are still frosty and icy and are like walking on an icerink, so bring on summer!
