NOBS FORUM SHUTDOWN UPDATE
I have been informed by someone who can still access their forum that of the last 50 members registering on the NOBS Forum -only 5 have paid to join NOBS main - 10% only.
At that rate it will soon be a quiet place - getting that way now!
As they claim 0ver 4,500 + people are forum members will they update this to those who can READ AND POST, leaving people who can read only bits of it in the figure is surely misleading.
But then their claimed membership of 9,000 + cannot exclude non paying members as their accounts show the figure must be far lower for paid up members.
Must be nice to have it both ways!!!

It's a very quite place now, seen more interesting things happening in a grave yard.
By the sounds of it, the office is very slow to send out membership infomation.
Wonder if that nobs cook book will ever see daylight. |

| The cookook is promised. yet again after two years of excuses for delays and the resignation from the Board of the original compiler, for the CLA. As is a book for Pickers Up - when you consider that there are many more beaters and prospective beaters why have they been missed- or is it to promote Beaters Courses at £75+ per head? |

Photographic Competition Update
Results announced after 10 months delay- whose fault is that - the Judge we are told !!!
No one else's apparently - come on guys be honest.
The person organising it admits that he is so busy he rarely gets on the Forum.
People paid to enter and they expect an efficiently run competition - even loyal members were getting impatient. |

I have been told that their recent member list seems to be mainly bots and few have been deleted - members from some very far flung places!!!!
Of those which seem genuine few have changed colour so how many are paying to use the Forum?
Or is it the fact that they are unaware of the need to notify the Mods that they are main NOBS members before they can post?
Seems a tortuous way to rum a Forum. |

5406 members we are told on their Forum but many seem to be porn sites or flogging blue pills or "services"!!!!
Surely there must be someone doing something to remove such members?
Fora have had such problems since the year dot, its no rocket science to weed out such things, but then the membership bumps up all the time they remain!!!
Their lock down, an attempt to boost main NOBS membership perchance, seems still to not be known to many Forum members and even those who have paid, have to advise a Regional Officer of that fact to be able to post!!!
Such a system appears rather amateurish, especially considering the sum spent on IT last year. |

I am told by someone who still has access to NOBS Forum - a dying breed!!- that the last four pages of members seem to be in the above category - thats 200 spurious members!!!!
Also that few of the original Forum mebers seem to have paid a £5 or arranged for their posting capability to that Forum be continued.
I just wonder what their paid membership figure really is - wont have long to wait new accounts will be filed soon!!!
Despite the breakdown of income being less than informative on that topic lets be generous and say that ALL their income apart from sponsorship is from memership at £5 per head-shoots pay£10- then their last accounts indicate a maximum of 4,000 only, not the 9,000+ claimed.
Wonder if their sponsors know that?
The publishers of their magazine may be interested too, after selling advertising in it, wonder if they anticipated an audience of 9,000 +? |

NOBS membership and Forum membership is to be checked shortly - so the CEO of NOBS promises.
Is this to frighten forum members into coughing up a £5?
May have quite the opposite effect and their Forum is moribund lately.
Apart from flogging braffle tickets and dead horses is there much going on?
Their membership records are a walking disaster anyway -countless people say they get newsletters etc when they havent paid a penny -some for years-others have paid and havent received a membership card after several months!!!
Members of NOBS and the Forum have to contact someone to be able to post on their Forum - a wonderful way to instil confidence that one side actually communicates with the other - or is it to give their Regional Officers and Mods something to do? |

|
Was promised so long ago and has yet failed to appear, even though a book on Picking Up which wasnt trumpeted so much has been published.
Bought meself a new set of saucepans and a new cooker etc just sitting idly by while we dine on take aways. Getting bored with pizzas all the time!
Still the new book sales will exceed their expectations as I am sure many sad and lonely people will buy one under the misapprehension that its about pulling a date!!!
Will there be refunds?
