Just had a call from someone who went for the duration and deemed it not worth the money - they would sooner have visited a smaller show such as The Yorkshire, Royal County or Chilterns where the main ring displays were far superior.
They aalso hunted high and low for the NOBS stand but failed dismally!!!
Was it tucked away out of sight?
Be interesting to see their 2.00 pm photocall if their few remaining members who attended had similar problems!!!
Not NOBS fault this time but then you cant complain if you dont pay for a satnd!!!!

Cant wait for Companies House to emil the NOBS Ltd Co. Accounts to 30/06/2009 when we all will be able to see how they compare to previous ones!!

Apparently there are still a few NOBS members wandering around Belvoir Castle searching for their show stand!!!
As noone has published a report yet on their Forum presumably even those supposed to man it got lost and couldnt find it.

Even one of the official pic takers couldnt find it!!

Still its about what we expect these days!!!

Guess what the excuse will be- yes youve guessed- "well we are all volunteers" on expenses like MPs I expect.
And we all know whats going to happen to them soon!!!

Show report by the CEO of NOBS was a bit vague, signed up seven new shoots ( Income £70) no mention of much else.
Poor chap was probably too emotional and knackered after that long drive, I suppose that he did manage eventually to find their stand!!
Unlike many others!!!

When will they publish their paid up membership, ditto the actual number of people using their Forum??

Dont hold your breath they are selling adverts in their newsletters and getting it printed and mailed for free on the claims (false) of 9,000 members.

Some time someone in the media is going to cotton on and the recent spate of letters from disgruntled ex NOBS to the shooting media will not slow up that process.

When awkward questions which require answers are posed what will happen?

Or is the shooting press really unwilling to face facts?

Maybe News of the Screws would be the better channel?

NOBS have them for emergency use.
"In case of emergency stick head in sand and pretend nothing is happening"
Trouble with that is you end up with your arse stuck up in the air for everyone to kick while your head has not got a flocking clue whats going on.
Oh !!! That sounds about right. Apart from the ones who chose the alternative method of dispearing up their own arse. They are probably allergic to sand.

Exactly - whenever any one asked a pertinent question they were deemed to be troublemakers or rocking the boat - and were banned!!

I know that there are so many horror stories circulating amongst the beating and picking up fraternity regarding NOBS and how they treat people - taking yer cash and doing feck all- if you ask questions you get banned - dont worry they keep yer cash!!!!

One keeper who paid £10 for two years and got no result says that they are correctly named and he wouldnt piss on them if they caught fire!!!

Everywhere I go people keep asking ME whats happened to their membership cards, weeks even months after they have paid.

One person stopped and looked at the PuBS standat a recent show, shook me by the hand and said "cracking idea- that other lot couldnt run a piss up in a brewery, all they want is money. If you can do it free why are they charging?"
Sad that is how they are perceived.

Rumours abound and sometime, probably soon, as the discontent cant be ignored by the shootin media for much longer then explanations will have to be made.

I know that people such as I, who were once steadfast supporters, are now deemed to be bitter and twisted malcontenets by NOBS - thing is there are an ever increasin number nowadays!!

Perhaps they should look closer at home for the causes of such discontent.
I keep getting phone calls regarding NOBS corporate structure and accounts - querying how such an organisation has but one shareholder, who I believe under company law is entitled to all funds in the event of a break up, and in theory could sell their share to another outside party, thereby passing control to them.

I am absolutely sickened that you can countenance such rabid posts from a sick person who repeatedly claims to post under his own name but masquerades as "Admin" on this sad excuse for a forum.
I shall see how long he will tolerate someone who will put the TRUE situation at NOBS.
No doubt my account and ISP will soon be banned as he will brook no one else's point of view.
We at NOBS are all volunteers trying to work hard to earn our living, not easy in the current economic climate, using what little spare time we have to help NOBS assist people on going beating and picking up.
After all a £5 is less than two pints at the pub, and look what opportunities it opens up for you to go places where the public are denied access. NOBS new insurance deal can be included for only another £15.
Marvellous value.
It costs money to set up a computerised office for membership records and a massive database of people seeking places on shoots.
NOBS also publish books to help people and run courses to train them as well, all this costs money which is why they have to make charges.
