shall i start another topic on getit?
or shall i let SC continue in its way, concentrating on non shooting themes?
some people on their mods forum have been very uncomplimentary about me!!
shall I sue for defamation?

at least whilst i was a members(s) of SC I did feel a soupcon of loyalty to that site, now cast into the wilderness, sob sob sob, belittled , unloved, denigrated, denied social contact, etc etc i am distraught.

The real problem here is SC admins. shoddy behaviour in banning Nick rather than addressing any issues the two parties may have.
I am led to believe this is not the first time they have handled situations very badly and is as I have already mentioned symptomatic of weak management and an inabikity ot accept the responsibilites runnigna forum brings with it.
SC has in the past been a very useful resource but is becoming bogged dwon with trivia and amatuerish posts and lacks anyone with much real experience.
Parhaops they need to sit back and take a close look inover rather than sitting looking out and judging which they seem to eb getting good at.
Seen this before somewhere I think.

I merely asked why two members who are on Countryfile Forum appear no longer to be SC members and got this by pm

Im sorry but I cant read posts in Mods or Admins Forum, nor would I if I knew the relevant passwords, it would probably be more informative if i could.
Members who were once very active and then disappear are bound to result in questions being asked, were they resignations or compulsory deletions?
Should other members be concerned - you bet they should - lets be open and frank and not be secretive.

I have refrained from posting on this site until now, but as this topic does concern me directly, here goes.

I was a founder member of SC (member No 3)and a moderator until a formal complaint was made against me by a member to admin. following an admonishment for rekindling a contentious topic the Team had asked to be left to rest, but in a totally unrelated thread. The member concerned was agrieved and contacted another moderator by off forum means and was then prompted by said moderator to lodge a formal complaint.

It was not until this member ceased posting and questions were raised in open forum as to the reason why and similair discussions took place in mods forum that I was even aware said member had any problems or concerns of any kind.
This situation pertained for almost three months until I asked in mods forum why nobody had asked why the member was so agreived, nor resolved the issue in a more timely fashion.
I was then contacted by another moderator via PM informing me it was because said member had, some three months earlier, made the formal complaint against me.

At no point in this three month period did any member of the moderator or admin. team inform me of this fact.

I asked Jerry Sanders ( sandersj89) about the matter in mods and it was firstly avoided, then denied, then after sending him a rather pointed and direct PM he acknowledged said complaint had been received "and was being looked at".
I also received a very patronising,condescending and frankly insulting response from Jerry Sanders to my PM, via email to my private email address.

It was only when Simon took a direct involvement that any progress was made.
I promptly made an apology to the member concerned once I was aware of the full facts, not for the admonishment, which I felt was justified if strongly put across, but for the failure to have dealt with this matter and any upset and distress the issue had caused said member.

When it became obvious that this matter had been discussed frequently between ALL other mods, both between themselves and in discussions with admin. most notably Jerry Sanders, by telephone or Pm yet nobody had the manners to inform myself, the subject of the formal complaint for three months and then only as a result my forceful and persistent enquiries it became clear that my only option was to resign my position as a moderator as all trust and any working relationships had been compromised beyond repair.

I will not pass my judgement on the behaviour or motives of those concerned in this matter but merely allow anyone reading this to form their own opinions based on the facts as stated above and the total lack of response on the matter by those other members of the SC admin./mods Team involved.

For the avoidance of doubt

I have been asked by a former moderator on SC to point out that it was the Team at the time of these events to which I refer.

bobpaw became involved in the latter stages of the matter, acting properly as one would expect, and canburne and Roz both joined the SC Team after the events described.
