I have heard that my suggestion on the change of name of the gamekeepers thread has been implemented.
Funny that - I was suspended for that suggestion.

Probably one of the Management Team pulled their head out of their arse and though of the idea after stealing it from you.
PS. Where has Mark Elliott gone? has he seen the light, taken the money (and things donated to NOBS for auction items) and ridden off into the sunset on the back of Hedgey ex-Moderator/God in Chief? |

Chairman, CEO, Director of Arse-Licking, Director of Self Abuse, Director of Money Laundering...........Who the hell do they think they are, ENRON??
Its portrayed as a charity, run as a commercial venture and is full of self-important twats.
Where does all the money from the sponsership - Mitsubishi, Aigle etc go? you cant tell me they dont charge for them! Even if you take the membership fees of £5 x 2000 members, that must go somewhere? They do not have a shop front business, its run off a bloody computer!
Oh, I guess their "Director of Paper Clips" is charging by the hour (not unlike a certain other profession that takes your cash and screws you) |

getting murky now- surely someone at NOBS- I know you are checking this site out- and probably grinding what few teef you have left- cos these allegations and posts will not be pulled- you can go and ---------I cant tell you what--------------discretion dictates otherwise- but serious questions are now being asked- far beyond what I even considered possible- are the senior management of NOBS realy dipping their snouts in the trough at the expense of the few fee paying members?
Status also implies responsibility - fancy titles et al- you take the hat and wear it you have to answer! |

Sorry, £3,000????
Ok, lets pretend that the "organisation" is operating in a proper sense. Let us also say that they do in fact have 9000 "paid members" at £5 per head.
Let us also asume that they sell a few training course, the odd bit of merchandise and recieve sponsership from the likes of a dog food company at £3k a go - call it 4 sponsers at this rate = £12,000
So:
Income:
Sponsership £12,000
Membership £45,000
Sales £5000
Total £ 62,000.00 per year
And as this Organisation is run on a voluntry basis (so we are told) no "officer" is paid a salary.
Let us then say that their costs are £20,000 per year (lot of paperclips)
that leaves pre-tax profit of £42,000
*Cough* BOLLOCKS!
What with donated items going missing, and a company set up so murky not even THEY understand it, it is about time these issues were answered IN PUBLIC.
The BASC, NGO et al all OPENLY PUBLISH their accounts.
What are they hiding?
Is there CEO driving a new car? has the Director for rectal insersions got a new tube of KY jelly? Have the Regional Officers got big smiles on their faces?
ANSWER ANSWER ANSWER. |

Well I can remember 6 or maybe 7 beaters courses.
At at £75 per person and about a dozen on each course?
Not to mention game fairs - now along with Nick I manned the stand at many - in fact I remember a certain someone picking up a rather old shotgun (16g I think) from one. At these shows NOBs took between £500-£1000 a show - I did about 15-20 shows with NOBs - all stands bar Scone and the ONE CLA the stands were free - so there is about another £20k
Let alone shop sales!

Still got the bloody thing in one of the cabinets Mike! Never been fired after a certain someone decided they prefered my new 20bore!
Guess what......never been used either, despite me being kind and saying they could have it and buying myself another slightly better fully fitted one!
Gave up after that. Do need to do a cabinet clear-out though, its getting silly and my FEO says I now need level 2 security - Alarms etc!!
As for the other matter, it really does go to show how much money was (and probably still is being) made. And for what? It angers me that its being portrayed as a charity but run as a business, yet is not accountable to its paid members/customers.
Are they VAT regstered? That could be an interesting if they are playing HMRC for all they are worth.
As a CEO, is the wookie taking responsibility for his duties as a CEO, or is he giving it large with business cards and corporate blow-jobs?
In fact, WHO is taking any form of responsibility for the business? I was under the impression that any / all Directors had a duty under Company Law to ensure that the company is run in a proper manner. One wonders if even they know what is going on, or understand the basics of Business Law.
Are minuets of board meeting taken and kept? |

Thats the whole problem John.
No one takes responsibility for anything and those running the show seem to know even less about how the LIMITED COMPANY is run and because of small company exemptions there is NO AUDIT - a firm of accountants draws up the accounts from the data supplied, and put that proviso in there comments.
There is ONE shareholder and in the event of a break up or liquidation, if my company law recollections from my time as a banker still holds, then that shareholder is entitled to the company assets after all debts etc have been settled.
Members who pay subs willl have no recompense.
I give the profit & Loss account figures for 2006 and 2007
2006 2007
Income 16,378 24,104
Interest recd - 9
16,378 24,113
Expenditure
advertising - 163
print,post,stat 3,946 5,671
Insurance 568 568
Computer costs - 3,244
Show costs 527 637
NOBS regalia 8,133 8,390
sdry expenses 51 664
rent 350 -
secreatrial 568 -
companies house - 30
charity - 500
accountancy 588 705
total exp 14,731 20,572
net profit 1,647 3,541
No breakdown of income is given - fees, subs, show sales, donations and sponsorship all included presumably.
The Board of Directors have certified the company as being exempt from Audit.
