Oh and this one aswell...pathetic really.
Sorry if this is cryptic to some folks but others will know what i mean.
Uncle Fester still on his low level tabloid-style campaign then ???
Poor old fella .... He'll be a character on Little Britain soon
Homer hasnt changed much then from the happy and smiling guy that all Dorset NOBS know so well, or not as the case may be.
Wonder who hes referring to?
Is it me?
Low level tabloid style campaign?
Hed better keep reading the shooting press for the latest scandal!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,
Great news that NOBS has managed to start offering insurance, I took advantage of the scheme soon after its launch at the Game Fair. It is certainly a lot cheaper than a lot of the alternatives. The only problem I have is that I do not have any proof of my insurance cover, a lot the shoots I am involved with require writen proof. I have made enquiries some time ago with NOBS HQ and was told that NOBS are waiting for them to be printed does anyone know when we can expect something in writing? I have a shoot coming up that will require evidence which will mean that I will have to insure again with another organisation if I do not get something soon
Regards
John

if you took your insurance cover out at the nobs stand at the game fair then you will have been given a pink copy of the form you filled in . that is proof of insurance cover for now .

Hi,
I did not take my insurance out at the game fair I did it a week or so later so I have no proof of insurance at all, I am a fan of the concept of NOBS and the insurance scheme but unless I get something soon I will have to sign up to another organisations insurance scheme.
Regards
John

Insurance/?
Is this Shooting Insurance ?
Something that Most Guns dont know is that if you have a Buildings and contents Insurance policy on your home then around £2million pounds of public liability Insurance is usually included for FREE , in case you injure anyone .
If you call your insurance company and ask them if your covered for clay pigeon shooting and game shooting they will confirm this in writing within 7 days . this letter can then be took to shoots etc...
Saving anywhere between £30 to £80 per year in insurance , hopefully that makes sense if not any questions welcome

had a chat to those at the top yesterday and they think the problems have been sorted . everyone should start having their cards in 14 days , from then on membership cards will be sent out the same day that payment has cleared .

Yet again NOBS takes yer money and fails to deliver!!
Surely they must realise that when people pay money for something then they must sort things out quickly, excuses that they are all volunteers doesnt gel anymore and judging by some of the comments above then they are seriously pissing off members!!
What a shame that such a wonderful idea is now perceived as a mere money earner - and where does that money go?
Not long before their next accounts and return will have to filed at Companies House and Ill post them on getit!!! _________________ NickCordery

SO NOTHING HAS CHANGED THEN, PEOPLE BEING FOBBED OFF WITH "its in hand and being sorted"!!!
When will they learn people cant be doing with such excuses.
Even SACS director Ian Clark is keeping a low profile since being challenged on whether beaters and pickers ups are covered if paid in cash or benefits in kind, issuing an assurance that they are and then being challenged by the guy who set up the cover!!! _________________ NickCordery

the problem with being a voluntary organisation and not having our own printing facilities is that we have to rely on other parties , thats where you get let down .

There are plenty of printers out there who can turn round such printing in days not weeks or months. With modern pcs and printers it is easy enough to print a card yourself and avoid the need to batch up to save money.
Once again the same old excuse " we are volunteers" - when people pay money- "its only a fiver"- they expect a standard of service irrespective of the payment made.
With the thousands of pounds spent on computer hardware and software in recent years I am surprised a more efficient system hasnt been developed. Their database was expensive and unnecessary - there are FREEWARE programs which can be designed to suit your rquirements and enable searches when vacancies arise. _________________ NickCordery

You should have full access now
Problems that led to the forum being locked down mean that a very small minority have spoiled it for many, all too common in today's society.
It has resulted in the need for people to contact their Regional Officer to advise that full access to the forum is required.
I appreciate that this is not ideal, but is currently the best option to address things.
If you have or anybody has problems accessing any areas of the forum please feel free to contact me or your Regional Officer and the situation will be corrected.
Cheers
David

NOBS locked down their forum to registered members for two reasons only:
1. To avoid answering criticisms and awkward questions about its structure and functioning, and delays in doing anything at all!
2.In an attempt to maximise registered membership and income.
So many people have said that they thought it was a wonderful concept, joined, but after hearing nothing will not renew.
Any other excuse is fallacious, other forums deal with trolls and discontents efficiently and without problems. In fact I sometimes feel that such people soon become apparent for what they are by the sort of posts which they make and people soon realise the situation. _________________ NickCordery

Funny that, Mr. Homer and his fellows at NOBS start poking fun at Mr. Cordery and PuBS and there is a sudden influx of members, some who seem to have fled NOBS Forum in despair at the way the organisation is being run.
At least they stand a chance of getting some places at shoots on PuBS, as was commented by several ex NOBS at a shoot I recently attended!!! Most had not even received an acknowledgment of membership, let alone a membership card!!!
Probably be like london buses, you wait for ages then four come at once!!! _________________ NickCordery

i have been with nobs most of this year and not had a mebership card but i am not bothed i have had a good year and i have got my mebership No so what is every one going on about stop picking on each other and make the forum a happey place
Used to be a happy place until NOBS management alienated or suspended or banned most of those who made it so, and who had the valuable contacts and insight into the shooting scene.
One of the regular posters is on record as stating that their dogs will never be worked.
Thats fine but why join a shooting forum? _________________ NickCordery

Seems someone at NOBS hasnt been up to speed, several new members of the forum are flogging blue pills etc.
I have to keep warning them or they leave them, spose it inflates their membership though! _________________ NickCordery
